Cross reunion activities

Please find attached activity file link.  As requested previously please forward to all the Cross Clan you can think of as some peoples may have been missed or may not have a address at all.   For security reasons we are always supposed to send Bcc which I have done here.  Isn't it a wonderful (challenging?)  thing that the world of computers is all "clouds and Apps and links".   Please get in touch with me at barryrobertdelano@gmail.com or 780-909-6677 if you have any questions concerns or suggestions.
Thanks see you in 3 weeks.

Connecticut 2019 trapping legislation update

View this email in your browser

HB-6014 AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF LEGHOLD AND BODY-CRUSHING TRAPS.

The Environment Committee held a public hearing on March 1st at the Legislative Office Building to allow testimony on 16 proposed Bills.

HB-6014 was the last Bill on the list and wasn't called for testimony until midnight.

There was a great turnout from trappers from all organizations ( Connecticut Fur Harvesters Association, Nutmeg Council of Connecticut Sportsmen, Connecticut Chapter of Delta Waterfowl, Connecticut Trappers Association, Connecticut Farm Bureau and the Connecticut Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators Association )

We wish to thank everyone who submitted written testimony and/or gave verbal testimony of opposition.

The Bill is still in the Environment Committee and has not been called for vote as of yet.

You can keep an eye on the Bill's activity by clicking on the following link: https://www.cga.ct.gov/asp/cgabillstatus/cgabillstatus.asp?selBillType=Bill&bill_num=HB06014&which_year=2019

We will keep you posted if this Bill goes further.

Connecticut Fur Harvesters Association 5th Annual Fur RoundUp

View this email in your browser

It's that time of year!

The Connecticut Fur Harvesters Association will be hosting your 5th Annual Fur RoundUp on March 31st..

We can use your support!

If you have fur you wish to sell, have tagged, or ship out to Fur Harvesters Auction, please plan on attending the RoundUp.

Even if you don't have fur, stop by! We will have used traps for sale and great food available.

It's a great opportunity to share our trapline experiences together and learn from each other.

We've been busy fighting Connecticut's anti trapping legislation and we're looking forward to having a great day with fellow trappers.

If you're membership has expired, please stop by to renew.

Thanks, Herb
